Book 46 of 2012

Book 46 of 2012: Not My Daughter by Barbara delinsky. This book was about a pregnancy pact between four teenagers. One of these teens also happens to be the daughter of the school principal. What follows is in intense and needless public trial regarding the mother's ability to principal, and obviously a plot that explores how teenaged pregnancy will affect relationships. It was sort of hard to read this book, which is very obviously set in the U.S; in Canada, although teenaged pregnancy is certainly not unheard of, I hardly think that it would result in basically massacring the school principal, holding town halls, etc. It just made me feel really happy to live in Canada. This was likely a young-adult novel, and given that this was the case, it was quite well-written. The characters were likeable, and the experiences seemed contextually realistic.
